Our Team

An overview of our key personnel

Philip Pearson MCIBSE, MIET – Director

hilip is the proud Founder and Managing Director of Pearson Consult Ltd.

Not only does Philip boast an impressive 33 years’ of experience in specialising in lifts and escalator engineering, but he has been connected with the construction industry for more than 40 years, having started out his working life as an electrical engineer.

His phenomenal wealth of experience means that he is skilled in all elements of major lift and escalator installations, including new installations, refurbishment and modernisation, condition surveys and implementation, and monitoring of maintenance contracts.

While Philip is responsible for the managing of our consultancy, he is also still very hands-on when it comes to carrying out lift and escalator consultancy duties, and enjoys providing his expert advice on projects.

Prior to founding Pearson Consult Ltd, Philip worked both nationally and internationally in various industry roles.

These include seven years as manager of a lift, escalator and moving walk consultancy for Jacobs Engineering Ltd (was SKM) in Europe and the Middle East; and as Associate Director at Foreman Roberts also running its lift, escalator and moving walk consultancy. While he was based at its Manchester office, he also worked on many of their London projects.

Outside of Pearson Consult Ltd, Philip is a CIBSE Lift Group Executive Committee member and Vice Chair as well as CIBSE West Midlands Main Committee member and Papers Chair. He frequently presents papers at trade symposiums and research events.

Michael Pearson – Director

Following in his father’s proud footsteps is our fellow director Mike Pearson.

Initially starting out in his career training as electronic service engineer, for the last 17 years he has specialised in lift engineering.

Like Philip, his experience covers all the major aspects of lift installations including new installations, refurbishment, modernisation, condition surveys and implementation and monitoring of maintenance contracts in both the UK and overseas.

And, with over a decade’s experience under his professional belt in lift sales and account management, Mike is also well versed in lift contractor management and operations.
